Chief William (Billy) V. Wilkins, Sr.
William V. (Billy) Wilkins, Sr., served 28 years with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, retiring in 2001 with the rank of Assistant Chief which he had held since 1985. He worked up through the ranks starting in 1973 as a Patrol Officer. He served several years in the West Alabama Narcotics Squad and was a founding member and the first President of the Alabama Narcotics Officers Association. He graduated in the 143rd Session of the FBI National Academy.

Years of service 1984 - to present
Assistant Chief Greg Duck has been with our Department since 1987. Assistant Chief Duck has held the ranks of Patrol Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant and promoted to Assistant Chief in 1999. He has served as Supervisor in each division of our department. He also has a Bachelors of Science in 2000 from Columbia Southern University and is also a 2000 graduate of FBI National Academy.
