The Communications division is staffed by 7 full time dispatchers with a minimum of 2 dispatchers on duty at any given time.  All dispatchers are APCO certified Telecommunicators and NAEMD certified Emergency Medical Dispatchers.  This division is responsible for radio and telephone communications as well as all NCIC and ACJIS communications activities.  They are also responsible for all emergency and non-emergency calls for service for Police, Fire and EMS within the City of Orange Beach.
