ORANGE BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT RANGE

The City of Orange Beach police shooting range, located on 4500 William Silvers Parkway, is available to the public every other Saturday, 8am-12pm, weather permitting, and whether or not any scheduled police training is taking place.    Every effort will be made to insure availability of the range to the public.  Anytime the range is open a certified firearms instructor/RSO must be on duty.  All questions concerning range availability can be answered by calling the police dispatch at 251 981 9777 or visiting the City of Orange Beach website.

Our range is comprised of two separate side by side functional areas, a pistol/handgun range and a rifle/long gun range.  The pistol/handgun range area consists of 10 stationary shooting positions with plywood backing to which targets are to be affixed.  Shooting distances are marked by concrete walkways placed at 7, 15 and 25 yard distances.  The rifle/long gun range area consists of a straight run out to 150 yards with intermediate distances marked at 50, 100 and 150 yards.
